Burnley have ended their transfer interest in Fashion Sakala and moved on to other targets after Rangers made it clear they didn't want to sell the striker, according to a report.
New Clarets boss, Vincent Kompany wants to add pace to his frontline for his assault at the English Championship. It is believed he put the Light Blues hitman on his wishlist after coming up against him during his time in Belgium.
The EFL side were reportedly willing to pay between £2million and £4million for the Zambian international. However, the Ibrox side made it clear that sort of figure would not be enough to push through the sale of the attacker, according to The Athletic.

The Turf Moor outfit have now moved, with Southampton's Nathan Tella eyed up. Giovanni van Bronckhorst has yet to hand the striker any top team competitive minutes this season, with his attacking options boosted during the transfer window and the return of star man Alfredo Morelos from a long-term injury.
The likes of Antonio Colak, Rabbi Matondo and Malik Tillman, who all checked in this summer, have been preferred in the games against Livingston, Kilmarnock and Union Saint-Gilloise. Ryan Kent is also a certain starter when fit for the Ibrox side.
Speculation over the future of Sakala has been rife this summer with the 25-year-old falling down the pecking order at Rangers. He arrived at the club under Steven Gerrard's time at the helm from Belgian club Oostende.
La Liga side Real Sociedad and French club Auxerre have previously been linked with the hitman.
