Rangers have had a busy summer but don't expect the rumour mill to slow down anytime soon.
Michael Beale has made four permanent signings so far in Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland and Sam Lammers and more could be on the way. Jose Cifuentes has been highly tipped as the latest arrival and Malik Tillman has already served notice he won't be back at Ibrox after his loan from Bayern Munich last week, but the influx of stars linked won't burn out.
And what about players going out the way? There's plenty of talk about whether Antonio Colak will make a move to Werder Bremen, and Glen Kamara has a decision to make on whether or not he leaves Rangers this summer. Add in some familiar faces hinting at their own transfers in life after Glasgow, there's plenty for fans to get their teeth stuck into. Here are the latest rumours surrounding Rangers.
Jose Cifuentes
The Ecuadorian midfielder is widely viewed as the next man who could come into Beale's plans. And he proved his marathon man potentially this week by playing for both country and club LAFC in a 24-hour window.
But could the move be seen as a stepping stone to the Premier League? Back in January, Ecuadorian football expert Benedikt Duda told transfermarkt that the midfielder's ideal landing spot is England.
He said: "Cifuentes played in all nine games at the Sudamericano—at times as captain—and was one of the leaders. hat’s when scouts first noticed him, and then he drew even more attention at the U20 World Cup in Poland, where he scored one of the most beautiful goals of the tournament. The dream move to England appeared close, but Universidad Católica were unhappy with the financial offer made."
Aaron Ramsey
Since leaving his loan spell at Rangers last year, Ramsey has been sunning it up in Ligue 1 with Nice. However, there could be an emotional return to boyhood club Cardiff City on the cards. He isn't ruling it out and would be up for it at some stage.
He told BBC: "That's where I grew up so having that opportunity, and them giving me that opportunity and giving me that platform to go on to what I have achieved so far in my career, I will forever be grateful for [that]. So for sure one day I would love to go back there, but who knows when that time might be. We'll see. There are a few things that need sorting out now over the next few weeks for me."
Ridvan Yilmaz
Left-back Yilmaz has no plans of leaving Rangers and instead plans to fight it out for his position in Beale's team. The Turkish international had a tough first year in the Premiership following a move from Besiktas but is up for the challenge of earning his place.
He told TRT Spor: "At the moment, I don't have any plans to return to Turkey. I was not physically ready when I first went to Scotland. They said that my physique could improve when I gained a little weight.
"They gave me a program and I followed it. The physical quality is higher in Scotland. When we look at work physically, they are much stronger than us. Both training and matches are very tough. Strength in Scotland is very different level."
Cyriel Dessers
The Nigerian forward is the man Beale wants to bolster his attack after the departure of Alfredo Morelos. But it appears getting Serie A side Cremonese to agree on a fee is proving difficult.
Reports in Italy that the 28-year-old had said no to the move were shot down this week. But according to the Daily Mail, Rangers 'have struck a road block over the Italian club's asking price.'
