Rangers transfer state of play on Danilo, Cifuentes and Kamara as Alfredo Morelos 'considers' 3 offers

Rangers are playing the waiting game when it comes to landing Jose Cifuentes - with the timeline of an Ibrox arrival reportedly up in the air.

Cifuentes will see his contract at Los Angeles FC come to an end when the Major League Soccer season concludes, with many expecting the American outfit to cash in on the Ecuador international this summer - with Rangers leading the race to land the midfielder. However, he has remained a regular in Steve Cherundolo's starting line-up since the window alongside appearing for his country during the summer - most recently taking to the field during the derby loss to LA Galaxy.

The Athletic report that Rangers remains the "likely destination" for the 24-year-old when he leaves LAFC. However, they state that is is yet to be decided if he will leave "this summer or when his contract expires in the winter." That could mean that Michael Beale may have to wait until January to get his man unless a "small fee" can be negotiated this summer. With one midfielder set to arrive, another could be on the way out.

Glen Kamara's future is in doubt this summer with game time hard to come by for the Finland international last term. Beale admitted that all options were being considered for the man Rangers recruited for just £50,000 in 2019, but reports suggest the Ibrox outfit would be searching for a £5million transfer fee for his services.

Besiktas have been tipped as a potential destination, but reports say an approach to take the midfielder is with a view to a loan deal. Turkish outlet Spor report that the potential suitors have been told by Rangers that they will consider offers from clubs who will pay a transfer fee before a loan agreement. It is stated Besiktas have left their loan offer on the table.

In terms of attackers, Danilo is on the agenda with the Feyenoord frontman keen on a move. The Light Blues had an opening bid of around £3.5 million for the striker star booted out as the Eredivisie champions value the striker in the region of £5m.

With Cyriel Dessers expected to be the next Ibrox arrival, reports suggest Beale is happy to play the waiting game to bring in Danilo. The Daily Mail report "longer-term interest" in the 24-year-old.

Should Beale tempt the Brazilian away from Feyenoord, he would be looking to fill the void left by Alfredo Morelos. Rangers' record European goalscorer is reportedly weighing up his options after leaving the Scottish Premiership.

Colombian outlet Balonlatino report that he has three options on the table that are being considered by the player's representatives. Everton, Crystal Palace and Serie A side Bologna are said to be in the running.
