It's been a packed summer for Michael Beale so far with the Rangers boss snapping up four new players already.
However, there is little chance of the boss slowing down despite stating the Light Blues are "ahead of schedule" with their summer business following the addition of Sam Lammers from Atalanta - who joins Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling in coming through the door on Edminton Drive. But the Ibrox fans will want to see plenty more new faces as they look to dethrone Celtic next term.
Tasos Douvikas is a name that has been floated as a potential target for the club this summer after a sensational season while leading the line for Utrecht. While striker Lammers is already in the door and Cyriel Dessers may not be far behind there is little doubt Beale will be looking to add firepower going into next season.
The 23-year-old netted 22 goals in the Eredivise last season and the Greece international has admitted he hopes to leave the Netherlands this summer when quizzed about the swirling rumours about a move to Ibrox. He told Voetbal International: “I want to be part of the European elite one day. Sometimes you have to take a step forward, (and) get started in a bigger league.
"The chance that I will leave this summer is greater than that I will stay. But everyone will understand that. I want to get to the top. I have to get to the top.”
Elsewhere, Alfredo Morelos is still on the lookout for a new club. But an option that has been taken off the table is Spartak Moscow.
While reports in Colombia have claimed that Everton, Nottingham Forest, Sevilla, Fenerbahce and an unnamed Serie A side are in the running for his signature after leaving Rangers his agent has offered an update on a move to Russia. Some outlets had claimed a that a move to Moscow was on the cards.
Representative for Morelos' agent Martin Camagno spoke to news outlet Sport24 about a deal, stating: "Yes, Spartak really contacted me about the transfer of Alfredo. But I can’t say anything more."
Scott Arfield also looks set to seal his next club after leaving Rangers and has rejected the chance to move to the Championship in order to head to MLS side Charlotte FC. He is ready to swap continents after a successful five-year stay at Ibrox.
