Rangers transfer news roundup as Malik Tillman payday derailed by Bayern Munich U turn and Benie Traore mystery solved

Rangers linked Benie Traore looks set to leave BK Hacken this summer - but a move may not be imminent despite speculation ramping up over a quickfire exit.

The Ibrox club have been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast forward who has been in sensational form this season netting 15 goals in 19 games this season - with reports in Sweden suggesting a £3 million bid has been turned down by the Gothenburg outfit looking for around double that fee. Hacken sporting director Martin Ericsson has already told potential suitors that they will have to break the record transfer fee received by the club to land the 20-year-old - which stands at £3.5million - with Sheffield United among the interested parties.

Transfer sleuths were put on high alert over a potential deal for the 20-year-old when he was posted missing from the win over AIK. However, boss Per Mathias Hogmo told GP after the game the absence was due to a personal matter: "He is at home in Africa with his family, due to a death in the family. He left on Tuesday and will be home on Sunday."

An addition at the heart of the defence also appears to be on Michael Beale 's wishlist with links to Arsenal star Auston Trusty persisting throughout the summer so far. Trusty was Birmingham City's Player of the Year last season but looks to be on the way out of the Emirates after his return to his parent club.

Football London report that Arsenal sporting director Edu has named the US international on a 5-player shortlist of fringe stars he would like to move on. Kieran Tierney, Cedric Soares and Runar Alex Runarsson and Nuno Tavares also make the reported list.

Rangers are also hoping to bank a bumper payday from former Ibrox loan star Malik Tillman amid talk of a permanent move to the English Premier League. Bayern Munich gave Gers the option to buy Tillman when they loaned the playmaker to them last season but Bayern bought back that option and the Light Blues will also get a cut of Tillman’s next sale.

However, the prospect of a summer windfall heading to Govan could be derailed by a change of tact from the Bundesliga giants. BILD report that Tillman "could leave for a new loan deal" with the permanent exit chances "minimal" at this stage of the window.
