Rangers transfer latest on Borna Barisic as full-back 'on targets list' for move to England

Rangers full-back Borna Barisic has emerged as a transfer target for English Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest, according to a report.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has included the defender in his Light Blues starting team on a regular basis but he's just spent a big transfer fee on Rıdvan Yılmaz on a five-year deal from Besiktas and the 21-year-old could take over in that area of the team.

The Mail on Sunday report that Steve Cooper is ready to seal a deal worth £15million for Brighton's Neal Maupay and he hopes to add another left-back with the Croatian international shortlisted with Chelsea's Emerson Palmieri. Barasic played the full 90 minutes in the 4-0 win over St Johnstone to make it three wins from three in the league for Rangers ahead of their Champions League showdown with Dutch giants PSV.

It's been a busy summer at Ibrox this season with the likes of Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davis and Malik Tillman all arriving alongside full-back Yilmaz.

Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey have both departed for big money fees while a number of young starlets like Cole McKinnon have headed out on loan to gain vital first team experience.

And now Barisic could be the latest big name to depart the club with a move to the City Ground mooted.
