Rangers transfer business blasted as 'extraordinary' potential exit brought under microscope

Andy Walker says he would be left stunned by Rangers' transfer window this summer if someone like Glen Kamara is allowed to leave at the 11th hour.

Rumours have been rife this deadline day that the Finnish international may leave Ibrox amid reports Ligue 1 club Nice have been lining up a move. There's been no activity in the way either at Rangers and it's left the Sky Sports pundit confused as to why, with Alfredo Morelos still to prove himself after banishment from their Champions League squad with PSV due to attitude and fitness concerns.

Ryan Kent has once again been linked to Leeds United and him being allowed to run into the final 12 months of his contract has also brought questions from Walker. He told Go Radio: "I'm amazed they haven't brought anyone in. If Kamara goes and they don't bring anyone, I just think that would be an extraordinary transfer window.

"I know they have brought John Souttar in during January and he's still to play, they've got Ben Davies, already got Filip Helander who is maybe injured, but they're all the same position.

"I'm sure Giovanni van Bronckhorst would be looking for another striker. I don't know where Alfredo Morelos' head is at, and maybe another midfield player. I'm just surprised at the way they're handling the situation with Ryan Kent.

"I know he can still choose to sign for Rangers again, to extend his contract but he can also walk away in a number of months for absolutely nothing. You need a deeper squad for the challenges that lie ahead."
