Andy Halliday thinks Rangers signing Lawrence Shankland this summer is a 'no-brainer'.
The Heart of Midlothian striker hasn't been in the best of form this season, yet Halliday reckons the 29-year-old could be a shrewd addition to the Ibrox ranks.
Indeed, Shankland is available on a free transfer come the season's end. He has yet to renew his contract at Tynecastle and, as it stands, will be a free agent in a few months.

"[It's a] no-brainer," said Halliday [Open Goal].
"If it's on a free transfer and you can get him for the right amount of money, obviously, with Rangers trying to bring down the wage bill in the past couple of years.
"You'd definitely have him as part of your squad."
The Scotland international has scored just five times in 39 Hearts appearances this season.
In the two campaigns preceding the current one, however, Shankland netted 31 and 28 goals, respectively.
Suggestions that he should sign for Rangers this summer come with there set to be sweeping changes at Ibrox amid 49ers Enterprises' proposed takeover.
They own Leeds United, who were recently promoted to the English Premier League following a 6-0 win over Stoke City, combined with other results in the Championship on Monday.
While that has no bearing whatsoever on the Rangers deal, it was a considerable boost for the group ahead of their impending investment north of the border.
