Rangers to announce player departures after Hibs clash as Michael Beale Ibrox overhaul begins

Michael Beale has confirmed Rangers will announce the players leaving the club at the end of the season after this weekend.

The Light Blues boss has already revealed Alfredo Morelos is on his way out of the club with Ryan Kent expected to follow. The likes of Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and Filip Helander are all out of contract come the summer but Ryan Jack has officially put pen to paper on a new one-year deal to keep him as part of the summer rebuild.

A number of fringe men like Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin are also expected to go with the Ibrox boss ready to put his own stamp on proceedings by bringing in a number of fresh faces to join his January signings Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin.

Speaking to the media ahead of facing Hibs at Easter Road, he said: "After the weekend we will formally let everyone know the players leaving.

"We want to strengthen in all areas. The most important thing is we have a good pre-season, recruit well and tactically come back stronger. I'm really excited for this, I always knew the summer would be one full of energy.

"I was delighted with the arrival of Nico and Todd, I had guarantees from the board when I arrived about transfers and nothing has changed with that. I have full support from the board to drive this club forward, it is an exciting summer ahead."

On the match itself, he added: "Connor Goldson is a doubt for the weekend, no other fresh injuries

"[Zak] Lovelace and [Bailey] Rice are away on International duty so one or two other young lads will get opportunities to come round the first-team side. We want to end the season well.

"It's always a happier place after a victory, the fans were excellent.

"On the day the players performed well and played with passion but we won't go overboard after one victory. We are certainly heading in the right direction.

"There is a core of players that will move us forward, last week was a decent performance but it is important we don't get romantic over one result.

"John Souttar has been great, we have discussed the idea of three at the back. We will add to this area in the summer to give us even more competition for place.

"With Todd's [Cantwell] ability on the ball and his energy and drive off the ball, it is hard not for fans to like him.I think he has surprised everyone with his work ethic and work off the ball.

"He needs to push on, get more goals, assists and ultimately win trophies."
