Rangers are reportedly keeping tabs on former Motherwell defender Cedric Kipre and could make a £1million swoop to bring the West Bromich Albion man to Ibrox.
Birmingham Live report that the 25-year-old has "grown frustrated" by his lack of opportunities and Rangers could swoop, with the Ibrox club having tracked the Ivory Coast youth cap since he left Fir Park in 2018.
They state the French-born centre-back and his representatives "have been in discussions with the West Brom hierarchy over the last couple of months and a parting of ways now seems likely."
With Calvin Bassey, who produced a colossal performance for Rangers in last night's Europa League final defeat to Frankfurt, attracting interest from the English Premier League and fellow defender Connor Goldson out of contract, Kipre could be brought in to fill the void should they depart Ibrox this summer.
Kipre joined Albion from Wigan for £1 million in 2020 and the club will be looking to at least recoup that fee.
During his one-season stint at Fir Park, Kipre was somewhat of a cult hero and made 49 appearances, scoring once in a league win over Dundee in April 2018.
