Rangers are keeping tabs on Kevin Thelwell as the Everton director of football prepares to leave Goodison Park this summer, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim Thelwell has emerged as a serious contender for the sporting director vacancy at Ibrox, with the Scottish Premiership club reshaping its football operations ahead of a pivotal summer rebuild both on and off the pitch.
The 51-year-old is expected to part ways with Everton at the end of the campaign after over three years in the role.
A seasoned operator, Thelwell boasts an impressive CV, having played a key role in Wolves' recruitment during their rise to the Premier League and later holding the Head of Sport position at Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls before returning to England in February 2022.
Rangers, currently under the interim stewardship of Barry Ferguson following Philippe Clement's departure in February, are looking to strengthen the club’s football structure as they prepare for a new permanent manager and a crucial squad overhaul.
