Alan Hutton says a large offer to buy Rangers could persuade the current board to ditch their current project and sell up.
The former right-back believes chairman Douglas Park and the rest of the board are steering the club in the right direction but is wary that money talks. Rangers were fined alongside Elite and JD Sports for fixing prices of club merchandise this week while vice-chairman John Bennett came out earlier this month to say they're keen to improve fan communication and defend their summer business for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's first-team.
Hutton told Football Insider that an Ibrox takeover could be put into motion despite the current regime looking keen on continuing their Govan work. He said: “After everything they’ve been through in the past I don’t think they would want one person with sole control of the club. I think the direction they’re going in at this moment in time suits them.

"But at the end of the day money talks. If somebody came in with a ridiculous offer I’m pretty sure they would think about it. When you look at all the people in charge at this moment in time, they look like a good group.
"They look like they’re progressing in a good way moving forward. So I don’t think there’s any real need to upset that at this moment.
"I think they’ll take everything in, whether it be people trying to buy the club or whatever. They’ll look at it and take it from there. At this moment in time, I think it looks good though.“
