Rangers suffer Vaclav Cerny injury blow as winger is ruled out of Dundee clash

Rangers will be without influential winger Vaclav Cerny for their trip to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership this evening.

The 27-year-old, who has been in sensational form this season, has contributed 17 goals and seven assists in 44 appearances since joining the club on-loan from Wolfsburg.

Cerny, who played a pivotal role in Czechia's World Cup qualifying victories over Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands, picked up a minor hamstring injury during the March international break.

That means he has been left out of manager Barry Ferguson's squad for tonight's fixture at Dens Park.

The absence of Cerny leaves a gap in Rangers' attacking options, with his pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability having made a significant impact this season.

Rangers will now need to find a way to compensate for his absence, particularly as they aim to better the 1-1 draw from the last time they faced Dundee in the City of Discovery.
