Rangers store in Ayrshire suffers break-in less than a week after opening

Crooks have broken into a Rangers store less than a week after it opened.

The new retail outlet on Ayr High Street was targeted in an early morning attack on Thursday.

The store run by the Ibrox club officially launched last week after revealing their comeback in the town for the first time in more than a decade.

The shop sells the official merchandise of the Light Blues made by sportswear giant Castore.

It was rumoured that the shop was closed after the break-in yesterday, but pictures on social media appear to show the store open and promoting offers ahead of Black Friday sales.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Thursday, November 24, 2022, around 2.35am, police received a report of a break-in at a business premises in High Street, Ayr.

"Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”
