Vaclav Cerny delivered a man of the match performance as Czechia secured a comfortable 4-0 win over Gibraltar at Estádio Algarve, maintaining their unbeaten start to World Cup qualifying.
The Rangers star, on loan from Wolfsburg, opened the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the 21st minute before assisting Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick for the second goal shortly after the half-time break.
Cerny’s influence didn’t stop with the goal and assist; he was a constant danger on the ball, creating seven chances and successfully completing the majority of his dribbles.
His 70 touches reflected his dominance in the game, and even after being substituted in the 79th minute, his presence was felt as a key contributor to Czechia’s commanding away victory.
