Tom Lawrence's 'history' with Wales boss Rob Page has been addressed with his hopes of going to the World Cup all but dashed.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst brought in the midfielder on a free transfer following his Derby County exit and he's made a solid start to life as a Rangers player. He's fired three goals and two assists in nine games in all competitions so far this campaign including a Champions League strike against PSV in the play-off round.
The 28-year-old is currently out with a knee injury. That knock ruled him out of the Old Firm hammering by Celtic and the group stage opener in Amsterdam against Ajax. His knock is likely to keep him out until after the international break with Dragons boss Page quizzed about his chances of making a late push for Qatar 2022. Back in April, then Derby boss Wayne Rooney called on the national team boss to 'get over his history' with the midfielder and hand him an international recall.

Page insists there is no history between him and the player as he said: 'That's just football'.
Speaking after announcing his latest squad, he said: "There’s no history between me and Tom. Understandably he was disappointed that I didn’t take him to the Euros, I would have been disappointed as a player as well.
“I think he deserved his move to Rangers off the back of his performances at Derby and he’s a good player.
“But Brennan Johnson and Rubin Colwill have come into the squad, and we’ve got youngsters like Luke Harris that people are talking about. That’s just football.”
