Rangers have confirmed that striker Sarah Ewens will miss the remainder of the SWPL season after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
The setback comes as a significant blow for Ewens, who had recently made her return from a serious ankle injury.
Her comeback in December, during a Scottish Cup match against Westdyke, was a moment of optimism, but this latest injury marks another unfortunate hurdle in her season.
In a statement, the Ibrox club expressed their support for the forward: “Everyone at Rangers wishes Sarah a speedy recovery, and we hope to see her back on the pitch soon.”
Ewens, 32, previously represented Celtic between 2016 and 2021, becoming one of the most reliable goalscorers in the division.
