Rangers' Alex Lowry is not in talks over a new deal at Ibrox, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands.
Reports have emerged that the Uddingston teenager has been offered a new deal worth around £5,000 a week - more than £250,000 each year.
There is, reportedly, also English interest in the 18-year-old who made his Rangers debut against Stirling Albion back in January.
But it's understood reports are false and there no talks planned in relation to a contract, for now.
Despite claims a new deal lasting until 2025 has been offered and a meeting with boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is in the pipeline, Lowry's contract for the moment lasts till 2023.
The midfielder - a graduate from Motherwell's Braidhurst high school - has proven himself as one of the current Premiership side's hottest prospects following four impressive performances in 2022.
He has been a regular feature in Rangers' Lowland League 'B' team and they take on Celtic at Parkhead this week. Lowry has also made his way into the Scotland u19s side.
