Rangers star pictured heading to Seville as Europa League date with destiny beckons

Uddingston's Alex Lowry has jetted out with Rangers ahead of their Europa League final against Frankfurt.

The midfielder is on a high after scoring in the weekend's final Premiership match of the season against Hearts, a 3-1 victory.

It came off the back of a handful of senior Light Blues appearances and a new deal that's been penned until 2025.

Lowry has been involved with several senior squads across the domestic game and European frontier, with his next involvement set to be his biggest.

Rangers face the Bundesliga side in Seville on Wednesday as they look to win a first European trophy since 1972.

Hailing from Lanarkshire and a graduate of Motherwell's Braidhurst high school, Lowry has been pictured heading to Seville prior to Wednesday's big day.

Thousands upon thousands of Rangers fans from across the world are descending upon Spain for the huge occasion.

Involvement in the showpiece would mark a huge rise for the Uddingston teen, who started this term playing Lowland League football in the Light Blues' 'B' team.
