Rangers star Nicolas Raskin in three word Belgium rally cry as U-21s Euros opener ends in stalemate

Nicolas Raskin has issued a three word Belgium rally cry as he got his Euro Under-21 finals underway.

The Rangers star was on target in the final warm-up game against Israel U-21s ahead of the tournament opener. His first goal involved a slick passing move with the midfielder involved before firing home for his side. The second was much more fortunate as his effort at goal took a massive deflection before beating the goalkeeper.

The real football got underway last night for the Red Devils as they kicked off their Group A campaign against the Netherlands with Michael Beale's January recruit playing the full 90 minutes in a goalless draw in the opener. Group rivals Georgia defeated Portugal in the other clash in the group with Raskin and Co next in action on Saturday against the early group section leaders.

Raskin has established himself as a key player alongside fellow winter recruit Todd Cantwell and the duo will play major roles going forward as Beale continues his summer rebuild at the club as they bid to dethrone Celtic and make a splash in the Champions League with two rounds of qualifying to negotiate to reach Europe's top table.

Brendan Rodgers has come in the door to replace Ange Postecoglou following his move to Tottenham with the battle for silverware next season beginning now as both clubs get preparations underway.

Rangers have allowed a number of out of contract players to leave including Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent - who has since joined Fenerbahce - while fringe men could join that group.

Four players have already signed up with Sam Lammers joined by pre-contract trio Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland.
