John Souttar is reportedly a major doubt to feature for Scotland against Norway.
It's claimed the defender has suffered an injury knock ahead of the Euro qualifiers against Norway and Georgia this week.
The Sunday Mail claim Souttar is in talks with Steve Clarke and national team medical staff over his condition and whether he should leave the squad due to the injury setback.
The Scotland squad have been in Spain for a training camp but Souttar's injury ruled him out of action for the trip.
And he could even withdraw from the squad ahead of the Euro double header even though he is thought to be keen to stay involved if at all possible.
Grant Hanley is already out of contention for the match through injury.
Clarke will have the selection of Ryan Porteous, Jack Hendry, Dom Hyam, Liam Cooper, Kieran Tierney and Ross McCrorie for the qualifiers later this week.
Discussing the fitness of Souttar, Cooper and Nathan Patterson last week, Clarke commented: "They couldn’t be with us this week but they’re with their clubs, working hard on their fitness, and we’ll give them every chance to be ready to join us next week in Glasgow.
"We’ve got good cover in all positions and that’s why I picked a slightly larger squad than I normally would."
