Nicolas Raskin has been welcomed to Rangers by former opposition star-turned-teammate Rabbi Matondo.
The 21-year-old midfielder sealed a long-term move to Ibrox on transfer deadline day in a deal worth a reported £1.7m from Standard Liege. Raskin had long been a target for the Glasgow side after Michael Beale picked up the interest in his services after already securing Todd Cantwell on a long-term deal.
Raskin revealed his delight at signing up to Beale's new era and admitted the Englishman was massive in getting him to sign on the dotted line after receiving interest from other clubs. The utility star will provide competition in the Ibrox engine room and has already been welcomed by another man trying to break through at Auchenhowie.

Matondo, who has struggled to make his mark since arriving from Schalke in the summer, congratulated the youngster on the move. He simply said on Twitter: "Welcome bro."
The two faced off when Welshman Matondo played for Cercle Brugge before sealing a move to Rangers. Meanwhile Raskin posted to his profile: "Arrived. Extremely proud to have signed for this beautiful club, more than ready for the upcoming challenges and can’t wait to face u guys at Ibrox."
