It's a case of one last push for Rangers as they look to end their decade-long exile from the Champions League proper. And while the odds are against them heading into their second leg with PSV, Gio van Bronckhorst will fancy his troops' chances of another Euro upset.
A 2-2 draw at Ibrox means the playoff tie is finely poised with it all to play for in Eindhoven. With no away goals, it's a straight old fashioned shootout, and a winner will be crowned tonight, whether it's in 90, 120, or the dreaded penalty shootout is required.
Van Bronckhorst isn't quite at full strength as far as his squad goes. Kemar Roofe, Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi all miss out again, while Tom Lawrence is a major doubt after twisting his ankle against Hibs. And there's also no Alfredo Morelos, after van Bronckhorst mercilessly booted him from the squad, citing concerns about his attitude and fitness following his red card at the weekend.
He said: “I think he has to show me he wants to play for Rangers. I know he wants to play, but to play for Rangers you need to have a certain level mentally and physically and at the moment I think he is not ready to play.”
Antonio Colak was always likely to start despite his four-game scoring streak coming to an end at the weekend. But Morelos' absence makes that a near-certainty, with Ryan Kent and Scott Wright the likely contenders to flank him.
Should Lawrence miss out, Malik TIllman could revert to a more central role to provide some creativity from midfield. But there is plenty of competition in that engine room with John Lundstram, Glen Kamara, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Scott Arfield all nudging elbows.
