Michael Beale is facing a big decision over who will lead the line for Rangers against Kilmarnock amid mounting injury problems up front.
Alfredo Morelos has been struggling to recapture his best from despite being handed a run in the starting line-up following Beale's arrival from Queens Park Rangers, with the Colombian netting just twice since Gio van Bronckhorst departed the club. Kemar Roofe had been set to challenge Morelos for a starting spot against Derek McInnes' side after scoring the winner in the Viaplay Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, but faces another spell on the sidelines with a shoulder knock.
Top scorer Antonio Colak will remain out for the trip to Rugby Park due to the plastic pitch, and Beale could dip into his B team to add competition for Morelos position up front for the Premiership clash. Robbie Ure impressed earlier in the campaign, marking his first-start for Rangers with a hat-trick against Queen of the South.
Since then he has found first-team minutes hard to come by, making just one Scottish Premiership appearance off the bench against St Mirren. The crisis up front is likely to see Ure earn a recall to the squad after impressing for the B team, with the likes of Alex Lowry and Charlie McCann making the move up from the Lowland League in recent weeks.
The game comes too soon for Rabbi Matondo, who joins a host of long-term absentees in the treatment room. Ianis Hagi, Tom Lawrence, Filip Helander, John Souttar and Ridvan Yilmaz will all be watching from the stands.
