Rangers squad revealed as 5 changes predicted after Michael Beale promise ahead of Ross County

Boss Michael Beale has promised a shake up of the Rangers starting line-up against Ross County as the injury problems rapidly mount.

The Light Blues narrowly took three points from Aberdeen during a dramatic injury-time turnaround at Pittodrie to keep Beale's early momentum as Ibrox boss alive. However, ahead of the clash at Dingwall he has detailed the walking wounded that took to the field to help secure the 3-2 victory, with Glen Kamara, James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos and John Lundstram all carrying knocks into the game.

Connor Goldson was thrust back into the starting line-up after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while Ben Davies is also ramping up his return to fitness with two appearances off the bench since the Scottish Premiership kicked off again. Speaking ahead of the clash with the Staggies, Beale said: “I don’t want to use anything as an excuse but Tav did travel on his own.

"In his performance you saw parts of that but he seems fine now. Ben Davies is coming back but he’s had some issues coming back. Glen Kamara probably should have had an operation in the last couple of months. When he plays and trains it swells up and there’s a reaction so we have to be careful. John Lundstram had to take an injection to be on the bench on Tuesday night while Alfredo has had to play when he shouldn’t have done."

Beale rounded off the update adding: "There will be five changes (against Ross County)." However he refused to be drawn on who would be out of the starting XI.

Leon King is back in contention for a starting place in the Rangers line-up having made the bench against the Dons after picking up a knock during the World Cup break. However, the game comes too early for Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak with the duo expect to return to the squad that face Motherwell on the 28th.

Ianis Hagi is also stepping up his comeback but will not feature. Long-term absentees Filip Helander, Ridvan Yilmaz, Tom Lawrence and John Souttar all sit the County clash out.
