Lewis Ferguson was happy to net on his 150th Aberdeen appearance - but he reckons he should have had another chance to score from the spot.
The Scotland international, who is from Hamilton, scored a decisive penalty as Stephen Glass' side picked up a 1-1 draw against the Premiership champions.
It was a game packed with drama and Rangers' Ryan Kent received a red card from referee Kevin Clancy. Before that, away goalkeeper Allan McGregor caught Dons attacker Ryan Hedges inside the box.
Within seconds, the champions took the lead through Ianis Hagi. Ferguson's second half header off Gers striker Alfredo Morelos' arm handed him a penalty attempt which he dispatched.
The midfielder joined Aberdeen from Hamilton in 2018 and has been an ever-present since, attracting transfer interest too.
He told Red TV: "To play my 150th game for the club at my age is great, it’s a really good feeling. I’ve scored 30 goals as well, so that’s a decent return too. All I want to do is to keep playing games, keep improving, keep pushing.
"I enjoy taking penalties, getting on the scoresheet. I should have had two of them though! From where I was standing, the tackle on Hedges looked a penalty.
"The referee only has a split second to make a decision I know, but fortunately he got the second one right with the hand ball.
"To be honest, I thought we deserved to win the game, I thought we were the better side for long periods."
