The extraordinary crowd eclipsed all previous records since the legendary John Greig’s testimonial match on April 16, 1978.
Rangers supporters were treated to a 3-0 win, which puts Philippe Clement's side within 11 points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic at the halfway stage of the league campaign.
