Rangers have ranked above Celtic in the all-time coefficient rankings list with the Old Firm pair securing spots in the top 15.
The Light Blues come in at TENTH in the list of the most successful teams since the 1955/56 season in terms of points secured for the UEFA country ranking. The Hoops are five places back in 15th position with both Aberdeen and Hibs also part of the top 100 make up alongside Europe's biggest clubs.
The coefficient has been a topic of discussion that has dominated Scottish football in recent times with performances in the past few years seeing the country rise up to ninth position. Rangers went all the way to the Europa League Final last season before defeat to Frankfurt and have reached the knockout stages of the competition in previous years. Celtic have also played beyond the group stages on the European stage with every single result playing a key role in the rapid rise.

Those top displays on the big stage meant that Ange Postecoglou's side earned direct entry into the Champions League group stages this season - avoiding the summer qualifiers that have in the past thrown up tricky ties and disappointment for the Old Firm duo over the years. Rangers could join the Hoops in Europe's elite competition if they can overcome Union Saint-Gilloise and earn a spot in the play-off round. Monaco or PSV await at this stage and should the Light Blues qualify this would offer the final hurdle in their bid to reach the lucrative group stage proper.
Hearts are also guaranteed group stage football this season with the parachute of the Europa Conference League main tournament. They face one of Linfield or FC Zurich in the Europa League play-off round and know victory would take them into the second tier competition.
Dundee United are also still in European contention and take a single goal lead to the Netherlands after a stunning 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar last week at Tannadice.
Swiss Football Data have complied a list of the top ranking 100 clubs over the past 67 years and it makes top reading for Scotland's big two. Rangers in tenth have picked up 109.167 points with Celtic scoring 101.250.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side sit above AC and Inter Milan and the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and and PSG alongside rank below both the Light Blues and Celtic.
Aberdeen are in 92nd spot with Hibs four back in 96th.
