Rangers predicted XI against West Ham United as Malik Tillman set for debut and new boys prepare for Ibrox bow

Rangers fans are set to return to Ibrox Stadium for the first time in two months and plenty has happened during that time at the club. A routine Ross County win ended their home league campaign on the night the Scottish Premiership title was officially surrendered.

However, the only thing interesting the fans that night was not the fact they had lost their crown - the writing had been on the wall for some time - but the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville which would take place seven days later.

Goals from Scott Wright, James Tavernier, Fashion Sakala and Amad Diallo saw the Light Blues cruise to a 4-1 win but fast forward a couple of months and it will be a very different line-up that Giovanni van Bronckhorst sends out on their return to the Govan ground. West Ham United are the visitors in the penultimate pre-season friendly - London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are in town on Saturday - before the big Scottish Premiership kick off at Livingston on July 30 which is quickly followed by the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round first leg against Union Saint-Gilloise.

Van Bronckhorst will be looking to get more minutes in his players legs after the 2-1 weekend win over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road as they step up preparations to hit peak match fitness for the start of the season.

Supporters are desperate to catch a glimpse of the new boys in action on home turf and Malik Tillman will be the one they want to see after the Bayern Munich loan kid watched on from the stand in Blackpool. He could be handed a start by Van Bronckhorst.

The summer recruits will also be keen to sample their new home and for Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo and Antonio Colak and John Souttar - albeit the latter two have been visiting players at- it’s a chance to make their Ibrox bow after featuring against Blackpool.

David Moyes saw his side thrash Celtic 6-2 in a pre-season friendly last season so Gers will be wary of the Hammers as they build up to their Premier League opener against champions Manchester City and a Europa Conference League adventure. Here, Record Sport looks at a possible Rangers team.
