Rangers players rated vs Hearts as Michael Beale's men totally dominant at Tynecastle

Rangers extend their unbeaten run as they put in a totally dominant display against Hearts in the capital.

Michael Beale's men faced a big test under the lights at Tynecastle but passed with flying colours in arguably their best display under the 42-year-old since he took over the top job following Giovanni van Bronckhorst's sacking. It means the Light Blues have not lost in 13 with Beale now unbeaten in his first 11 games as boss.

The Ibrox men had the ball in the net FOUR times in the first 45 minutes but only two efforts stood with the goals coming from Alfredo Morelos and Malik Tillman. Fashion Sakala had a further goal - and his second of the evening - ruled out in the second period. Morelos was initially flagged offside for his second of the night but after a VAR check that one counted to put the game beyond doubt. Despite another victory, the gap to Celtic remains at nine points with the champions running out big winners at home to Livingston to deny Rangers the chance to chip away at their healthy advantage. Here's how we rated Beale's troops in Gorgie.

Allan McGregor - 7

First big save after 20 minutes to deny Barrie McKay with his feet. Quiet otherwise on an easy night.

James Tavernier - 7

A constant runner and option. Sees plenty of the ball going forward in new system under Beale. Looking more like himself.

Connor Goldson - 7

A quiet enough evening for the stopper. Dealt with everything put his way. Set up Tillman's goal with a stunning header back across goal.

Ben Davies - 7

Defended well when called upon. Striking up a real partnership with Goldson. A key player alongside his defensive partner.

Borna Barisic - 8

Played his part in opener to play ball to Ryan Kent in build-up to Morelos goal. Great ball to back post for Goldson to set up Tillman for second. Top night.

John Lundstram - 7

Works hard in the midfield and always covers good ground. Further competition for places with Nicolas Raskin in the building. Denied a stunner from range by Zander Clark. Subbed.

Glen Kamara - 7

Seems to be rotating with Ryan Jack of late. Similar style players. Did well.

Malik Tillman - 7

Drifts in and out of games. Quiet start then pops up with second goal. Seventh goal of the season to date. Subbed.

Ryan Kent - 7

Great delivery from well worked free-kick to set up Morelos for opener. A lick of paint away from his own goal after deflected effort. Booked for simulation. Subbed.

Fashion JR - 7

Back in after missing the weekend win. Pace is major threat. Had ball in net twice but ruled offside on both occasions. Denied by stunning save. Assist for Morelos' second. Subbed.

Alfredo Morelos - 9

Had ball in net early on but ruled out for offside. But scored crucial opener moments later. Grabbed his second in the second half after a VAR check. Strong performance from the Colombian. 12 in 11 against the men in maroon. Subbed.

Subs

Ryan Jack - 3

On in the final stages. No real notable moments.

Todd Cantwell - 3

A flavour of his first away appearance in Rangers colours after a start last time out. Final 15 minutes here.

Antonio Colak - 3

Crucial minutes under the belt once again as he continues return to fitness.

Scott Wright - 2

Used often from the bench in final stages of games. Another short run out here.

Alex Lowry - 2

On for the final few moments.
