Rangers secured a third consecutive league victory with a patient but not overwhelming victory over Ross County in the Highlands.
Rangers had a reasonably attacking start to the game but were stung twice in quick succession by the Staggies who went close through George Harmon before Owura Edwards nearly opened the scoring. But past the half hour mark John Lundstram found some space on the edge of the area and rifled home an effort in to the bottom right-hand corner to give the visitors a smart opening.
Michael Beale's side looked to kill the game off with Fashion Sakala latching on to the end of a well-driven Adam Devine cross but the Zambian forward couldn't muster up the power required. The Light Blues dominated large portions of the second half with County sitting deep and never looked like conceding on their way to an important three points in the title race.

Jon McLaughlin - 6
Big save in the opening 20. A quiet night otherwise for the Gers understudy.
James Tavernier - 6
Run-of-the-mill for the captain who looked back to a better state after recent struggles.
Connor Goldson - 7
Swept up well in the first half and looked to be back to his commanding self in the second. A good showing.
Ben Davies - 5
Caught slacking a few times in the first half but settled back in the second. Rangers fans will hope to see more as the weeks go on.
Adam Devine - 7
The youngster had free roam on the wing but deliveries were hit and miss in the first half. Great in confidence in the second 45 and cut out a few dangerous balls.
John Lundstram - 8
A strong hit from the edge gave Rangers the opening. Looked to play intricate passes forward too. A real complete showing with defensive work done too.
Glen Kamara - 5
A little loose and chasing shadows in the first half. Not many key moments from him.
Scott Arfield - 6
A quiet night for the attacker but contributed on the whole.
Malik Tillman - 7
Linked up well early on with Sakala and co. Managed to find pockets of space throughout.
Fashion Sakala - 6
Looked lively from the start and wove the ball well for Lundstram's opener. Went close and should have scored. Replaced on the hour.
Ryan Kent - 6
Plenty of the ball and did carry a threat, looked frustrated at times however. Fouled on a lot of occasions. It wasn't the performance Michael Beale would have envisioned.
Subs:
Alfredo Morelos - 5
Looked eager to get on the scoresheet but was often blocked or made the wrong call. Was unlucky with an effort that came too quickly for him after being parried away by Laidlaw in stoppage time.
Ryan Jack - 6
Came on for the final twenty with good energy and went close.
Rabbi Matondo - 3
Bags of pace but little composure when it mattered. Few loose passes and touches. Big miss in the dying stages.
