Rangers edged out a 2-1 win in their latest Premiership match with Motherwell.
There was questions being asked of manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the players after a 7-1 Champions League hammering off Liverpool on Wednesday, and a response was paramount after consecutive 4-0 wins against Hearts and St Mirren domestically. It took until the second half for the first big chance to fall but in-form Antonio Colak could only header wide of Liam Kelly's goal.
Kevin Van Veen marched up the other end to sting the palms of Allan McGregor and Motherwell paid for that miss, Malik Tillman marching up the park to put the away team ahead. John Lundstram doubled that advantage with a header but Stuart McKinstry ensured an exciting end to proceedings with a fantastic free-kick for Steven Hammell's men but those in blue got three points over the line. Here is how we rated the Rangers players on their trip to North Lanarkshire.

Allan McGregor - 5
Seldom was he tested in this match and made one simple stop that was required to deny Van Veen. Questionable with the goal.
James Tavernier - 6
Didn't get to impact the attack like he usually does in domestic action. Gave away free-kick that led to the goal, assured display otherwise.
Ben Davies - 7
With every game, Davies begins to look sharper. Even before the Liverpool collapse he looked confident and that same composure showed in the first 45 against his ex-club came through here.
Leon King - 7
Stepped in for long-term absentee Goldson and dealt with a tough opponent in Van Veen superbly. Reportedly attracting Premier League suitors and not hard to see why.
Borna Barisic - 6
The conundrum continues. Some moments that make you scratch your head before whipping in a brilliant cross for Lundstram's goal. Consistency needed.
John Lundstram - 7
Got about the midfield well enough and an improvement on recent performances where they have dipped. Took his header really well.
Scott Arfield - 6
Busy display from the former Canadian international. Got a bit bogged down in a scrappy first half but his mission was accomplished.
Malik Tillman - 7
Rewarded van Bronckhorst for his faith in him with a solo goal as Motherwell looked scared to get near. Staked a claim for another start with a goal contribution.
Rabbi Matondo - 6
Few bursts of pace down the right flank but little end product from the Welsh international. Stretched the defence at times.
Ryan Kent - 5
It seems like a never-ending narrative with Kent. A few fancy stepovers but you really are looking for so much more off a player with undoubted quality. Looks short of confidence.
Antonio Colak - 5
A lot of work off the ball but the forward's domestic goal run stopped here with a quiet display in Lanarkshire. Spurned his big opening.
Scott Wright - 4
Came on and tried to catch a probing Motherwell team when needing a goal but didn't get much of a chance to do damage.
Steven Davis - 4
Veteran subbed on to try and calm the game when it threatened to get frantic. Job done.
Alfredo Morelos - 3
Subbed on late for Colak with no time to make an impact.
