Rangers capped off a huge week of action with a Scottish Cup semi final victory over Celtic at Hampden.
Greg Taylor gave Celtic the lead from a set piece before Scott Arfield equalised to set up a tense climax which lead to the Ibrox club enduring extra time for the second time in a matter of days.
But it was an own goal from Hoops defender Carl Starfelt who deflected Fashion Sakala's effort past Joe hart to gave Gio van Bronckhorst 's men the victory.
Rangers haven't won the tournament since 2009 and will now face Hearts in the final on May 21.
Record Sport rate the men who triumphed in Mount Florida:
JON McLAUGHLIN : Big call from van Bronckhorst as keeper kept his place as Scottish Cup number one and a few sloppy moments with his feet early on. No chance with goal but couple of very important punches from crosses as he dominated his area. 6
JAMES TAVERNIER : Got forward at every opportunity and found the right balance between attacking and defending where he had his hands full with the threat of Jota. Good early low cross teed up Arfield for equaliser. No signs of legginess from skipper after European exertions . 8
CONNOR GOLDSON : Couple of early warnings as he took too long on ball but recovered to keep Daizen Maeda and then Kyogo Furuhashi quiet with a solid performance. Sensational diagonal started move for Rangers equaliser. Booked for lunge on Furuhashi. 7
CALVIN BASSEY : Preferred to Leon Balogun at left centre half and unfortunate that Taylor’s goal deflected off his heel to beat McLaughlin. But vital recovery run to deny Furuhashi in extra time before brilliant surging run and cross teed up winner. 8
BORNA BARISIC : Passed fitness test to start and caught out positionally early on as Liel Abada looked to get in behind but recovered to keep Israeli quiet. Crosses a bit wayward at other end and crucially lost Greg Taylor for Celtic opener. Hobbled off deep into extra time. 6
JOHN LUNDSTRAM : Absolute workhorse set tempo as Rangers won midfield battle. Great tackle set up Ryan Kent for early chance. Superb 25-yard effort smacked back off post. Key interception on the hour mark denied Maeda a certain goal. Replaced by Kamara in extra time. 9
RYAN JACK : Worked socks off to thwart threat of Hatate and together with Lundstram ensured Rangers controlled the midfield for the opening hour. Correctly booked just before break for foul on Hatate and replaced by Steven Davis with 16 minutes to go. 7
AARON RAMSEY : Busy at both ends of park early on, intelligent runs into box gave Celtic headache but end product missing, wasted free kick opportunity and limped off after 42 minutes with a hamstring problem. 4
JOE ARIBO : Some nice link-up as he played in behind Roofe. Two headed chances in first half but both too weak, the first straight at Hart and the second drifted wide. Booked for pulling back McGregor and subbed with 16 minutes to go. 6
RYAN KENT : Huge chance to open scoring after two minutes but wasn’t sharp enough. Use of the ball disappointing and failed to make the impact but kept plugging away. Second half effort dragged wide but little else of note. 6
KEMAR ROOFE : Occupied the Celtic central pairing and enjoyed physical battle without much reward in terms of opportunities. Worked tirelessly and lay-off set-up Arfield for leveller. Harshly penalised for free kick which led to Celtic opener but clear cut yellow card for professional foul on Maeda earlier. Replaced by Sakala after 108 minutes. 6
Subs
SCOTT WRIGHT : On for Aaron Ramsey after 42 minutes but struggled to make impact. Turned back on quick free kick as Celtic went short to open up Rangers for Taylor’s winner. 4
SCOTT ARFIELD : Huge impact after replacing Aribo for last 16 minutes as Van Bronkhorst looked to add fresh legs and came up trumps moments later with a brilliant turn and shot to equalise with his sixth goal of season. 7
STEVEN DAVIS : Made 700th club appearance of his career after replacing Jack as Rangers chased equaliser. Brought composure back to midfield after leveller. 5
GLEN KAMARA : On to give Lundstram a deserved breather in first half of extra time and his energy helped Rangers get back on top in extra time. 3
FASHION SAKALA : Replaced Roofe with 12 minutes left of extra time as Rangers looked to exploit his pace, hit top of bar in desperate scramble before timing run into box perfectly to bundle home winner. 6
LEON BALOGUN : Fresh legs at the back for closing stages of extra time as he replaced Barisic. 2
