Top BBC pundits have branded James Penrice's decision to pull Alfredo Morelos' shirt 'crazy'.
The Livingston defender conceded a penalty that handed Michael Beale's side an opening in to their eventual 3-0 win over the Lions on Saturday. Rangers skipper James Tavernier converted from the spot before scoring from another dead ball with a free-kick followed by a sweet strike from Kemar Roofe. It meant Rangers remained unbeaten after 13 games of Beale's tenure.
But VAR once again came under the microscope as Morelos' jersey was tugged, something that pundit James McFadden admits he can see from the point of Rangers and fuming David Martindale. The incident wasn't initially spotted by referee David Dickinson before Andrew Dallas in the VAR room suggested a review.

McFadden told BBC Sportscene: "David Martindale is disappointed with the decision and I can see both sides of it.
"Not every shirt pulls results in a foul but it's crazy to put yourself in that situation from James Penrice. Morelos isn't going to win the ball and I don't think it's impeding him in any way.
"Especially with VAR, you give the referee another look and it's an easier one to give than not when you see how blatant the shirt pull is."
Rangers hero Neil McCann also insists that is why the technology is in our game but believes it was an 'obvious mistake' missed by the on-field official.
McCann added: "The interesting one for me is Morelos, we talk about VAR all the time and this is a decision by Andrew Dallas in the VAR room."
"The referee's position is wide left and the assistant is down the line so he can't see across. It's been brought across for the referee to have a look at it so that's worked.
"I agree with James' point, although it probably doesn't affect him, Penrice holding his (Morelos') jersey impedes his jump. I don't think he's going to get it so it's a silly mistake. That's why VAR is there because it's spotted an obvious mistake."
