Rangers pay tribute to Jimmy Millar as club Hall of Fame inductee passes away at 87

Rangers have confirmed the death of club Hall of Famer Jimmy Millar at the age of 87.

The former striker was signed by Scot Symon in January 1955 and went on to enjoy a lengthy 12-year spell at Ibrox. He lifted three League titles, five Scottish Cups and three League Cups during his time at Rangers and was later inducted into their Hall of Fame for his contributions

Millar was born in Edinburgh and started his career at Dunfermline Athletic before moving on to have his legendary stint in Light Blue, ending his career at Dundee United while also representing Scotland during his playing days. He had a brief spell as manager at Raith Rovers before going on to own a pub in Leith. His former club said in a statement confirming the ex-forward's death: "Rangers Football Club is saddened by the news of the death of our former player, Jimmy Millar.
