Rangers No3 Robby McCrorie in Scotland call-up as Steve Clarke suffers triple blow

Robby McCrorie has been called up to the Scotland squad as Steve Clarke suffered a triple blow of withdrawals.

Rangers No1 Jon McLaughlin, Grant Hanley and Jacob Brown has all pulled out of the Nations League triple-header with Ukraine and Republic of Ireland with the Light Blues No3 added to the pool of goalkeepers alongside Craig Gordon and Liam Kelly.

It's a big six days for the Dark Blues starting with Ukraine tomorrow night at Hampden in a rematch of the World Cup play-off semi-final defeat earlier this summer. The visitors ran out 3-1 winners on that occasion with Clarke and Co out for revenge this time around. They currently trail Wednesday's opponents by one point at the top of the section after three games and know victory will put their destiny in their own hands ahead of Republic of Ireland on Saturday and a return fixture with Ukraine next week.

However, defeat at the national stadium and it would be a tall order with four points between the top two and Armenia next up for the visitors.

Scotland have defeated the group minnows twice and lost to Ireland in their opening three games and will hope for maximum points in this batch of matches and finish top of League B Group 1 by close of play on Tuesday night.
