Rangers manager Philippe Clement has stressed the importance of consistency following their 3-0 triumph over Celtic on Thursday, while suggesting that a few incomings could happen during the January transfer window.
The Light Blues showcased their 'A' game in front of a packed Ibrox, but still remain 11 points behind their city rivals in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Rangers have dropped points against St Mirren and Motherwell in recent weeks, and often struggled to produce a 90 minute performance. That's why totally dominating Celtic - who hadn't lost in the league until then - from start to finish really pleased Clement.
Asked to describe the mood around the training centre since the victory, the Rangers boss said: "The mood is very good because the players get what they deserved in this game. They get the reward now. We had two games before where we made it difficult for ourselves and didn't get the reward out of the game, and they showed the quality of what we want to see.
"I thought they sticked to the plan, they learned from the League Cup final in details everything that we discussed, and they put out a really good performance.

"The positive accuracy, the compactness, the creating chances, the ball tempo, and also all the team being ready in every position to play. So, the mentality that players like Ridvan showed. He was not convinced about playing right full-back because it was the first time in his life and he gave that performance. Those are really positive things."
Clement was then probed about the overall picture and the job Rangers still have on their hands to get anywhere near Celtic by the end May.
"Conclusions are always for after and that's after a season," he replied. "We know we still have a big job on our hands with the whole squad to get consistency in this kind of results.
"We need to get the players at that level to do it consistently every three days, and also to get more depth in the squad because it's impossible with this amount of games every three days to play at that level for 60, 70 games like players need to do now with the amount of games.
"So, we need to create this depth in the squad."
