RANGERS have held discussions with the UK Government as the Premiership club continue to make their case that supporters were mistreated at the Europa League final earlier this month.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team faced Eintracht Frankfurt in the Seville showpiece and tens of thousands of fans of the Ibrox club followed their team to Spain for the famous occasion.
The Glasgow club were ultimately defeated on penalties but is events off the park that have been garnering headlines for all the wrong reasons.
UEFA have been accused of treating the travelling Rangers support poorly, with many firsthand accounts claiming that fans had no access to drinking water in the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
Ibrox chiefs have been lobbying on behalf of the club' supporters and have recently met with representatives from the UK government to discuss the issue, according to a statement released on Tuesday morning.
It read: "This morning, representatives from Rangers met with Her Majesty’s Government to discuss the issues faced by our support in Seville before, during and after the Europa League Final.
