Rangers manager Philippe Clement has confirmed several first team stars won’t feature in his squad to face Fraserburgh this weekend - but there could be one welcomed return.
The Light Blues host the Highland League outfit on Sunday, but Oscar Cortes and Danilo will not be risked.
Clement revealed the pair were being assessed by Rangers specialists on Friday afternoon.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Scottish Cup tie, the Belgian said: "Danilo will be out, not a full assessment yet about that case, and Cortes also.
“The other players who were not available before will not be available.
“Jack Butland is still a question mark, but he's also close to coming back into training with the squad.
“We will see tomorrow if he can play with the squad and what conclusions to make about that."

Probed on whether he feels Cortes and Danilo will be absent long-term, Clement stated: “They're today with specialists. I'm not a specialist in those things. We need to hear their assessment first.
“I hope it's a short-term thing. It would have been ideal that he [Cortes] got minutes in the weekend. And now on Sunday.
“But it's part of football. It's unlucky. Football is a sport with duels. He's a strong boy. He has strong legs. But sometimes you get hard knocks. So that's part of football. And like you say, he had a lot of bad luck the last couple of months.
“It's disappointing for him because he's somebody with a good mentality, who wants to work hard. Who is ambitious to make the right steps, who showed also good quality in the first weeks that he was here. Sometimes you can have bad luck. And I hope that this is the last part of bad luck for him in his career.”
