GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST is targeting a double contract boost as Rangers continue signing talks with Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos over new Ibrox deals.
The Dutchman revealed this week that Morelos was close to putting pen-to-paper on an extension to his contract to keep him in Glasgow beyond the end of the campaign.
Kent is also in the final months of his deal and will be free to talk to clubs over a Bosman switch next summer come the midway stage of his fourth term at Rangers.
Captain James Tavernier is poised to follow the footsteps of Connor Goldson and sign on once again to secure his spot in Van Bronckhorst's plans for the coming years.
And the Ibrox boss is confident agreements can be reached with Kent and Morelos as he seeks to tie down two of his most valuable assets and important performers at Ibrox.
"Very much," Van Bronckhorst said when asked if he would like Kent to commit his future to Rangers.
"We know the qualities both Morelos and Ryan bring to the team. They have been part of the squad for many years now.
"A player like Ryan, his abilities and qualities are on a high level. Talks with him are also happening at the moment to extend his contract.
"The same with Alfredo. Hopefully they can sign new contracts that will keep them at Ibrox for longer than this season.
"Both love to be at this club. They are both important players and loved by everyone involved within the club and also the fans.
"They are more than open to extend. If it will come to a deal? Hopefully.
"But I am very happy with both. They bring quality to this squad and eventually, of course, performances on the pitch.
"So, yeah, hopefully they can sign new deals to keep them longer here.
"Of course, the taste in Europe in the last years will help them. We are also pushing for Champions League this season and that will help as well. I’m happy and hopefully they will sign longer contracts."
