Video footage has laid bare the context of the red card to Adam Devine after a "kung fu kick".
The on-loan Rangers defender, 21, was sent off for his reaction after appeals for a penalty were waved away in the loss to Airdrie.
Queen's Park boss Callum Davidson was dismissed from the dugout for his reaction to the incident too with huge cries for a spot-kick ignored.
The Championship club have now released highlights of the match with the incident replayed in slo-mo in the package.
Footage showed a cross to the back post with Devine attacking the ball with a diving header. However, Lewis McGregor managed to flick the ball clear as he launched himself into the air in an act of last-ditch defending.
Queen's Park players were furious at the failure to award a penalty for the alleged high boot with McGregor poking the ball out with his toe with his whole body in the air.
The referee, though, was unmoved an even awarded a goal kick, prompting frustration.

A number of Queen's Park players appealed to the referee before a yellow was produced to Devine for his questioning of the call.
The Rangers academy graduate looked stunned as the caution was produced before a red was shown ahead of the goal kick being taken. Devine was first booked after 18 minutes.
In his post-match interview with club media, Davidson revealed Devine's red card was given due to the full-back being "aggressive" towards the match referee - something he disputes.
"I thought it was a stonewall penalty," said Davidson. "The boy nearly kung fu kicked Adam in the head when Adam had not even lowered his head for the ball.
"Then, he actually gives a goal kick for it as well so I am a wee bit baffled. Hence my frustration probably boiled over today.
"I think Adam just asked why it was a goal kick - that's all he asked him. He [referee] said he was aggressive but Adam is not the aggressive type of person so I am really disappointed with that decision."
