Rangers icon Barry Ferguson believes former Celtic star Kieran Tierney is an elite player - and the Muirhouse ace could shine at Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old has been linked with the Bernabeu club and arch-rivals Barcelona off the back of his form at Arsenal.
He also netted his first Scotland goal last week in a 1-1 draw with Poland at Hampden Park.
Reports over the weekend linked the Celtic academy graduate with a £50 million move to Madrid and former Rangers midfielder Ferguson understands why.
He believes the Lanarkshire man has developed rapidly since leaving Scotland for England.
Speaking to Go Radio, Ferguson said: "If it's £50 million, I think that is cheap. I think he's just signed a new long-term contract.
"But I am not surprised. If a club like Real Madrid come calling, you have to at least talk to them and seriously consider it.
"I thought in the Scotland game (against Poland) he was a standout. He breezed it. I thought he was a very good player when he left Celtic.
"I think he's become a top player since playing in the Premier League. I think he is (world-class). But that's only my opinion. He's went up levels."
