Paul Gascoigne has given his backing to Barry Ferguson to become the next permanent manager of Rangers.
The Ibrox hero wants to see the interim boss handed the job at the end of the season.
Ferguson was hired as the man to steady the ship after a tumultuous season endured by the club under Philippe Clement.
After beating Celtic and guiding the club to the quarter-finals of the Europa League before the international break, the feeling at Rangers is as positive as it has been all season.
And Gazza reckons that counts for something, as he backed Ferguson to beat the likes of Rafa Benitez, Russell Martin and Steven Gerrard to the post.
