Rangers legend Ally McCoist 'set' for TNT broadcaster move

Ally McCoist is set to join TNT Sports ahead of the new season, according to reports.

The pundit of the year regularly appears on various broadcast stations as he delivers his thoughts to the viewers and listeners at home.

The Rangers legend has been on a variety of channels including talkSPORT, Sky Sports, ITV and Amazon.

However, according to the Daily Mail, McCoist is set to commit to TNT Sports, which is taking the place of BT Sports for the upcoming campaign.

The report states that it remains to be seen what impact this move will have on the Scotland hero's other punditry work with the aforementioned stations.

Should McCoist join TNT, he would appear for their Premier League coverage as well as Champions League and other European competitions the broadcaster has the rights for.

It has yet to be officially confirmed, however, his old talkSPORT co-host Laura Woods is in line to take over from Jake Humrphery as the main presenter on TNT.

Meanwhile, Leon Balogun's return to Rangers has been branded "desperate" by a former Ibrox ace.

Former full-back Richard Foster reckons the return signing is not a "no-brainer" as he revealed his critical verdict on the defender.

Nigeria international Balogun, 35, agreed a one-year deal to return to Rangers under Michael Beale.

However, pundit Foster has suggested Balogun brings a "nervousness" to the Rangers defence as he slammed the popular stopper.
