Rangers legend Ally McCoist set for gameshow appearance as he's tasked with helping win fortune

Rangers legend Ally McCoist will feature as a guest on Michael McIntyre's The Wheel on BBC One this evening.

The former Ibrox forward has made a name for himself away from playing and management as one of sport punditry's most loveable characters. He has also dabbled in ventures away from the game and tonight will team up with celebrities Clara Amfo, Sindhu Vee, Dan Walker, Stacey Dooley and John Whaite as they look to help three guests, assisted by Ed Balls, win life-changing cash.

It's a quiz show laced with comedy and Rangers icon McCoist has plenty of experience in this arena after time as a captain on A Question of Sport. His knowledge on a specialist subject will be put to the test with each celebrity tasked with bringing an area of expertise to the board in order to try and help the contestants answer their way to riches.

Each question is worth £3000 and a better effort than his appearance on a celebrity version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? alongside Gabby Logan in 2002 saw them win just £1000!

The Wheel recently returned to the small screen and is available to watch on BBC One at 5.50pm on Saturday evenings.

His beloved club back in Glasgow face a trip to Perth this weekend as Rangers go to St Johnstone looking for three more Premiership points.
