RANGERS have launched an SFA appeal into John Lundstram's red card at Hibernian on Saturday.
The midfielder was ordered off by referee Willie Collum for a challenge on Martin Boyle.
Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst commented on the incident after the game.
He said: “It was a very physical game. In the first half we had to avoid some really tough challenges. In the second half, with the red card for John it was a foul but he had no intention of hurting the player.
“The speed of the tackle wasn’t with a lot of force. The ref could have given yellow as well if you compare it with the challenge we conceded in the first half."
Alfredo Morelos was also sent off in the second period for a flying arm on Hibs defender Marijan Cabraja.
Van Bronckhorst added: "Then we had to react with 10 men but the red card for Morelos made it worse and we had to play with nine. The players fought hard to get the best result possible.
"We’re going to analyse the game and see what’s the smartest thing to do but we will sure look into the red cards.”
