Rangers’ new home kit has been unveiled – but on Mike Ashley’s megastore website.
Instead of the club being able to launch the new strip, it has first appeared on the disliked tycoon’s platforms.
Images of the strip have been circulating on social media after manufacturers appeared to have mistakenly sent the kit to supporters.
But it appeared for purchase on the Rangers Megastore website, priced at £64.99.
The Rangers megastore is not operated by the Ibrox club and is instead linked to Ashley’s Sports Direct.
The design of the strip is similar to the one worn by Walter Smith’s side in the 2009/10 season.
Former Rangers chairman Dave King fought a long-running retail battle with former Newcastle United owner Ashley.
But the Ibrox club came to an out-of-court settlement with his Sports Direct company last month after it was claimed Rangers wrongly terminated a deal with the sportswear group.
However, fans have hit out at the shirt appearing on his megastore site. One wrote: “This is nothing short of scandalous.”
