Uddingston teenager Alex Lowry will get to experience a European semi-final in Germany tonight after the Rangers kid was named in the squad for their massive Europa League first leg tie with RB Leipzig.
The 18-year-old posted an image of himself inside Leipzig's Red Bull Arena on his Instagram story ahead of the clash, where Rangers are bidding to reach a major European final for the first time since 2008's journey to the UEFA Cup final under the late Walter Smith.
He is likely to just be a spectator from the bench tonight, but it will mark another unforgettable moment for the youngster in his maiden first-team season, having made his debut in January's Scottish Cup fourth round win over Stirling Albion.
The midfielder has been able to savour many of Rangers' big European nights this season, having been in the squad for the last 16 home leg win against Borussia Dortmund in the round of 32, and both matches in their last 16 triumph over Red Star Belgrade and quarter-final win over Braga.
Appearances have mainly come for the B team this term and last week, when picking up the B team goal of the season award for a goal against Celtic B, he admitted: "It's been a whirlwind season. I was with the 'B' team initially but since January I have predominantly been with the first team.
"Training with guys like Aaron Ramsey and Joe Aribo each day, I am learning and picking up so many small things off them.
"But it's the small details that can make me a lot better."
The provisional squad for tonight's clash in Germany is as follows:
Allan McGregor
Jon McLaughlin
Robby McCrorie
James Tavernier
Connor Goldson
Leon Balogun
Calvin Bassey
Leon King
Borna Barisic
Glen Kamara
Steven Davis
James Sands
John Lundstram

Alex Lowry
