Rangers keeper Robby McCrorie drafted into Scotland squad

Rangers keeper Robby McCrorie drafted into Scotland squad

RANGERS goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has been called up to the Scotland national team.

The 24-year-old trained with Steve Clarke's side this morning.

The Gers back-up keeper has been drafted into the squad as a replacement for David Marshall, who retired from international duty earlier this week.

Scotland still have two Nations League matches to go in the latest round of international fixtures.

First up is a trip to Ireland on Saturday before the return game against Armenia next Tuesday.

And McCrorie will be part of the goalkeeping unit, as he joins Craig Gordon, Liam Kelly in the squad, with Zander Clark today dropping out.

He previously earned a call-up in 2020 after performing well on loan at Livingston.

He will now battle it out to earn a spot as one of Clarke's back-ups in future matches.

Leeds skipper Liam Cooper has also withdrawn from the squad.
