Rangers issue 18m new shares as Companies House paperwork revealed

Rangers have issued 18m new shares.

It remains to be seen how much money was raised by the club in the paperwork recently released by Companies House.

The issue of the shares was received for filing in electronic format yesterday, February 18 2025.

The shares are being allotted from December 20 last year until February 23 this year.

The 'nominal value' of each share on the document is said to be 1p.

In April 2023, the club issued 7.7m new shares. 25p was paid for each.

It was unclear then whether the shares were for cash or loans converted to equity.

This latest issue of new shares comes after the Ibrox side defeated Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers bounced back from their shock loss to Queen's Park in the Scottish Cup with a 3-1 league win, which, despite a few hiccups, was relatively comfortable.

They welcome St. Mirren to Ibrox this weekend, aiming to make it two victories on the bounce.
